FUSION two-way communication devices combine instant, one-to-many “push-to-talk” functionality of a classic walkie-talkie with the wide-area coverage of cellular data networks (4G, LTE, 5G, or Wi-Fi). 

How It Works
  • Cellular Data Transmission: Instead of using local radio frequencies (VHF/UHF), an antenna, or physical repeaters, a FUSION radio converts your voice into digital data packets. 
  • Enhanced SIP Platform: These data packets travel through cellular or Wi-Fi connections to a central cloud server, which instantly broadcasts your voice to specific users or designated talkgroups.
  • No Range Limits: As long as there is active cellular coverage or Wi-Fi, you can talk across different cities, states, or countries without distance restrictions
FUSION radios work anywhere there is active mobile data (4G LTE, 5G, or 3G) or Wi-Fi coverage.
 
FUSION uses cellular networks and internet data instead of traditional radio frequencies or physical repeaters, their operating range includes: 
  • Nationwide or Global Coverage: As long as your radio plan  has a signal from a mobile network operator (or roams onto a partner network), you can talk to team members across cities, states, or even countries. 
  • Indoors and Campuses via Wi-Fi: If cellular service is weak inside large buildings, warehouses, schools, or hospitals, FUSION radios can switch to a local Wi-Fi network to route voice data through the cloud server. Only FUSION has this feature enabled by default.
  • Vehicles and Mobile Routes: They are widely used in fleet trucks, school buses, and delivery vans because they stay connected while moving through different cellular towers.
